A technicalthe Nike issue at Meta caused Humanitix events to be deleted from the tech giant’s social media platforms.
The ticketing company confirmed that thousands of events, posts, comments, promotional content and other activities were improperly removed from Facebook, Instagram and Messenger on Thursday evenings.
The issue has been partially resolved by Meta, so Humanitix content can now be shared again across platforms, but much of the historical content removed by the social media giant is still being restored.
“We are aware of a technical issue affecting Humanitix events on our platforms, our teams are urgently working to resolve this matter,” a Meta spokesperson said in a statement on Friday.
Humanitix is working with Meta to expedite restoration of specific affected events — organizers simply need to flag the affected event with the ticketing company to escalate its restoration.
“We are escalating specific event pages with the Meta team to get them restored faster while we wait for all improperly removed content to be restored across all Meta platforms,” Humanitix said.
“Humanitix unfortunately cannot know Facebook event pages if they are created directly through Facebook.
“Please send an email hello@humanitix.com with the link(s) to the Facebook event page URL you want to restore.”
